Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

PHP is the highest level of outpatient mental health treatment. This intensive day-treatment program features five full days of care and therapy each week with no overnight stays

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our New Jersey IOP for mental health provides three, ~3 hour sessions each week. This part-time treatment acts as a stepdown from PHP or a step-up from weekly therapy.

Outpatient Treatment (OP)

Standard outpatient treatment for mental health offers once-a-week therapy and counseling. It serves as a final step after IOP, or an option for people who need only a little help.

Outpatient mental healthcare does not require checking in and sleeping overnight in a medical facility. Red Oak Wellness clients commute to us for their therapy sessions. This limits disruption in your personal life and allows you to sleep in your own bed each night, if you choose.

New Jersey’s Title 16 does allow for involuntary commitment. person be held for 72 hours if they are a danger themselves or others. This requires an inpatient program that provides acute care, like a psychiatric hospital.

Red Oak Wellness is an outpatient program that accepts at-will patients only. We can not accommodate patients for involuntary commitment.

However, if you call we will be happy to provide an appropriate referral. We can also offer outpatient care after stabilization, if the patient is willing and clinically appropriate.
