Can I Force A Loved One Into Treatment?
New Jersey’s Title 16 does allow for involuntary commitment. person be held for 72 hours if they are a danger themselves or others. This requires an inpatient program that provides acute care, like a psychiatric hospital.
Red Oak Wellness is an outpatient program that accepts at-will patients only. We can not accommodate patients for involuntary commitment.
However, if you call we will be happy to provide an appropriate referral. We can also offer outpatient care after stabilization, if the patient is willing and clinically appropriate.
